Welcome to beautiful Shelbyville

Shelby County, Kentucky, known as “The Saddlebred Capital of the World”, is home to approximately 80 Saddlebred focused facilities in its 386 square miles.

Founded in 1792 with a current population of almost 43,000 people, it has also been called the “Gateway to the Bluegrass”, the region of Kentucky most associated with the horse industry.

From top breeding and training operations, to world class veterinarians and farriers, it is a horseman’s paradise. The Shelbyville Horse Show, held the first weekend of every August, is one of the premier events on each show season’s calendar and should not be missed.
