The Silky Terrier was developed around the turn of the century in Australia from crossings of native Australian Terriers and imported Yorkshire Terriers, the Silky brings the best qualities of both of these breeds into one tiny, silky-smooth coated canine. Stonecroft has been breeding and exhibiting nationally recognized Silky Terriers for over 20 years in conjunction with our handler and fellow breeder, Barbara Heckerman of WYNCREST in Swanton, Ohio.
